    Hello pink Here it is, my new (refurbished) laptop. I know, it's pink, but you take what you can get when it has the features you want. Like <4lbs of weight and an LED screen.

    Replacement ThinkPad - Refurbished T510 My old T61 died about a month ago (dead video card). Found this one on the Lenovo outlet site and had them shipped nearly two weeks ago. Finally it got here! I think they made a mistake and loaded this with Windows 7 Professional (32 bits). I remember telling them that I wanted 64-bits instead....

    They even refurbish laptops!

    'Reckless' father bought €80 stolen laptop on the net

    A FATHER-of-four "recklessly" bought a stolen laptop computer after answering an advertisement through an internet classifieds site, a court heard.

    Out-of-work taxi driver Mark Monahan (38) paid €80 for the computer even though it "crossed his mind" that it might be stolen.

    A judge adjourned the case against him for the production of a community service suitability report after he pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court to possessing stolen property.

    Monahan admitted having the laptop at his home at Dolphin House in the south inner city on May 11 last.

    Garda Keith Arkins told the court he entered the defendant's home with a search warrant on the day and found the laptop which he suspected was stolen.

    Following an investigation, it was found to be the property of a James Darcy.

    Hi, has anyone purchased a refurbished/reconditioned laptop from the pc world/currys/dixons website. They got some good deals on there and lot of them still come with xp or xp pro/media centre which is what I prefer as don't want vista.

    If you’re a college student or a freelancer who’s on a budget, buying refurbished laptops must be part of your plans. After all, who can resist a discount? Before your cash in on your choice, though, there are several basic things you must think about. First of all, you should know the difference between refurbished and used laptops. A lot of refurbished laptops fall under these categories, and the cheaper of the two is the latter.

    Most people on the lookout for refurbished laptops go for this option for the simple reason that refurbished laptops don’t have mysterious histories. Refurbished laptops are almost good as new, but they were initially sent back to the manufacturer because of factory defects. When you buy used laptops, the former owner may or may not declare defects in the items making it a risky business. Used laptops, however, have gone through whatever wear and tear their former users have put on them. Once they’re returned, while they still function as a brand new, they can’t be sold as brand new items anymore.
