Steampunk - Typewriter - Too tuckered to type Laptop Computer Sleeve

At one point these things used to be the word processors of yesterday. Carpal tunnel never really existed and fingers were super strong. Now they collect dust, turned into electronic keyboards. The typewriters themselves become Steampunk decoration, or just collect dust on some shelf.

I am getting a hp laptop ( dv 6238 ) it has a intel Core Duo processor T2250
1.73Ghz, level 2 cache 2MB
2x1024 ram
256 gphx ( 128 dedicated) running vista.
Is it a good laptop, is that processor a good one.
I have the core duo 1.66ghz, which is the slowest one. its powerful enough to run everything I have come across.
I also have a 256mb with 128mb dedicated.

AMD VSeries(TM) Processor for Notebook PCs V140 (2.3GHz, 512KB L2 Cache) OR AMD Athlon(TM) II DualCore Processor for Notebook PCs P340 (2.2GHz, 1MB L2 Cache)?
Best AnswerThe 2.2GHz is faster! But dont neglect RAM, make sure you get at least 4GB of RAM or your PC might freeze when you do certain things or run slow!
Other Answers (7)It is hard to understand how a 2.3 ghz processor is not as fast as a 2.2 but in this case the 2.2 is faster and this because it is a dual core processor. Dual core processors are actually 2 processors in one and the main reason they have a larger cache size. Think of it like this, you are chatting with someone but at the same time you want to play a game on the same laptop. This is called multitasking. A single core processor will have a very hard time doing both of these things at once, however not the dual core and that is because, like I already said, it is two processors in one. Today there are 6 core processors and they are talking about 810 core processors. You also want to get the dual core processor because Windows 7 is a multitasking operating system. Hope I helped in your understanding.
