Q Why won’t Quicken for Mac 2007 work on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion? I want to upgrade to the new operating system, but I really need my Quicken.

A The Quicken for Mac personal finance software will not work on the latest version of Apple’s operating system because the program was originally written for an older processor once used in Mac computers. These older PowerPC processors were used in Mac desktop and laptop computers for years, but in 2006 Apple replaced the PowerPC chips with Intel chips.

From 2006 until this summer, programs written to run on PowerPC processors still worked on Macs with Intel processors thanks to a piece of software in Mac OS X called Rosetta. But Apple discontinued support for Rosetta in Mac OS X 10.7, known as Lion, which is why Quicken for Mac will not

I'm trying to use my laptop as an access point for my DS. My router uses a WPA2 encryption. DS's can only connect to access points with WEP's. Is there anyway I could do it? I've tried setting up a hoc network, but then I can't connect to the internet.

Set up the ad-hoc network as you started to before but connect your laptop directly into your wireless router with an Ethernet cable. Then turn on Internet Connection Sharing (Services and Applications -> Services -> Internet Connection Sharing).
