This is not a question its a solution. I hope this helps many people out there. I was sick of seeing picked answers for this that didn't work for me. I hope my solution helps you: I've had both these irritatiing error messages. I have found a solution

FYI: There is a 32 Bit, AND a 64 Bit, version of iTunes on Apple's website. Just make sure you get the right version for your PC.
