could you in theory format my computer that has vista home premium and buy a copy of leopard and install that and load boot camp and then install vista with my oem disk and restore my documents

It's not going to happen. You can try, I did, but I ended up ruining my laptop. I did it for the fun Cause I already own numerous Macs, but I wanted a cheap laptop in which I can leave it in dorms. I ended up just getting a MBP. In order to do this
