I have an Acer 5920 Laptop and when I try to load a family on Sims 2 it freezes?

It will load all the little pictures in the blue squares in the background then just play the music and stay on the screen. When I open task manager it will say Not Responding.
Please help?

Has it run Sims 2 in the past? Have you recently added an expansion? If so, then your computer cant handle the expansion. If Sims 2 hasn't run on your computer before, chances are you're just out of luck. You can try adding more RAM, but it should

Acer 5920 Laptop screen replacement cable issues « The Acer Guy Forum

Hi, Just replacing the whole top half including screen BUT have come a cross an issue. I bought the replacement which looks good off EBay. The replacement has the inverter etc all good. However where the hinge is on the left side there is a cable which comes out from underneath the hinge - this appears to have been cut. On the right side also from underneath the hinge there are two cables - both of these seem to have been cut. I am not sure what these three cables do but looking at the service manual the only items located in the lid are the camera and built-in microphone? Can I assume that these cables should be complete with some sort of connector on the end which would then connect to the motherboard. Any help or guidance much appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for responding but are you able to provide any more clarification. The three cables are all black, quite thin and come down from the back of the LCD under the hinges. One on the left and two on the right. One of the two on the right does have some silver screening cable. The LCD cable on the left all looks good as does the inverter and the pink white cable going to the other end of the inverter. This model also has a webcam. Could one of the cut cables be for the webcam. I am unable at this point to gain any help from Acer direct. Thanks
