I have an IBM Thinkpad T40 and i want to know if the computer gets to hot will it shut down or get slower or do nothing but cook? Any one know. I have placed it on a docking station in a large desk drawer and i am running an LCD monitor and using it

If the laptop is over heat, it will reboot regarding any condition. If you have docking station with fan, you should be fine. Get a fan if you want to put the laptop in a drawer. A hole for air circulation with fan should prevent the laptop from over
