What are some reasons you'd use a tablet over a laptop or notebook? Most tablets aren't suitable to use with productivity apps like Office (yet) and are just large smartphones (hopefully with the release of Honeycomb we will start seeing more and more tab-centric development). I know I'd like one because they are more portable and compact and just a lot cooler to look at and hold. If I'm going to be typing an essay Im going to be sitting at my desk using my desktop. I wouldn't even bother typing at that length on a laptop. For posting on message boards, emails, IM and text, and casual gaming it seems a bit easier to pull out a tablet than a laptop or netbook, especially since tablets have better battery life.
