According to more than a dozen interviews with former employees, executives at suppliers, and management experts familiar with the company’s operations, Apple has built a closed ecosystem where it exerts control over nearly every piece of the supply chain, from design to retail store. Because of its volume—and its occasional ruthlessness—Apple gets big discounts on parts, manufacturing capacity, and air freight. “Operations expertise is as big an asset for Apple as product innovation or marketing,” says Mike Fawkes, the former supply-chain chief at Hewlett-Packard ( HPQ ) and now a venture capitalist with VantagePoint Capital Partners. “They’ve taken operational excellence to a level never seen before.”

My compaq laptop wont turn on all the time. 99% of the time when I turn the power on the lights will come on, and i can hear the harddrive will boot up but the screen wont come on and i never hear vista's little tone thing neither. But sometimes when

take it back where ever you bought it, may be a loose connection in the screen

External Wireless Button wont turn blue on Compaq laptop - Tech ...

I have a Compaq laptop and i was able to use wireless on it up to about the other day. Usually, when i wanted to use wireless i just clicked the button (external) and it would turn on (a blue colour). Now, when i press the button the light will not turn on and i have tried to search for the wireless networks and an error message comes up saying "make sure the wireless switch on your computer is on", so obviously the button wont work. Can anyone help solving this problem? PLEASE help . I also have another problem, when i go to turn off my computer (start menu and shutdown) or even restart it. It wont shutdown. It just goes to the compaque (orange background) screen and stays like that but i can still move the mouse. After a while it "sounds" like it is off i.e. the fans turn...

I have a HP Deskjet 1050 J410 series all-in-one printer. After i install it on to my laptop, it works fine with all functions working perfectly, however once i shut down my laptop, and turn it back on, for whatever reason the laptop cannot find the scanner. does anyone know why this is? or how to fix it? i have tried reinstalling it several times and have all the necerssary updates.
