    My Workspace I am a student in Architecture school in KSU , and I prefer to work at uni rather than at home . The college offers these amazing workspaces , so all I have to do is show up , set my stuff in position , and I am good to go . The laptop is Asus VX2 .

    Asus - all stickered out! I usually keep my laptops in tip-top shape and have never placed any stickers on them. However, I've had these stickers lying around from the Valleyschwag days so I thought I might as well put them to good use!

need it for school and moderate gaming, by moderate i mean Rainbow six 3, and fligh simulator,...not crysis. but i will need it for college stuff too.

but are asus good?? msi?? lenovo?? HP and Sony just seem like "crappy" computers...any

Asus provide good specifications and function for what you pay. The one quirk with their notebooks is that the fn key is where the ctrl key should be. Asus has a lot of good gaming rigs.

MSI; sorry never used.

@myb4d Ram yes, but its half of of them are hard to access unless you remove the keyboard and flip the motherboard. Graphix Yes, because of MXM (but bare in mind that Asus has a different kind of GPU socket and its hard to find an asus mobile GPU with that correct kind of socket but it is possible, if u can find it), and yes the processor is upgradeable too.

@xionslash It is quiet when you’re not gaming on it, but when you game on it, it sounds like a plane is taking off. I have also read a lot of reviews about it, and it clearly says: quote: “A short time later, the fans change up a further gear and the M17x howls along with up to 52.2 dB(A) almost unbearably loud.
