This isn’t the first time that Asus has launched out a series of bamboo-made laptops, but I think this is the first time that the entire chassis is made of the panda food item. In terms of specs, you get Intel Core i5 450M for your processor, along with NVIDIA 310M graphics, USB 3.0 ports, 2GB RAM, and a 500GB hard drive. Asus is more than happy to sell you a new notebook as often as you’re willing to buy one, so I guess this whole “recycle me when you’re done” gimmick helps to alleviate some of the environmental stress. I don’t know how the chips inside or the LCD display get recycled aside from the traditional extraction and meltdown method, but they are saying that the whole thing can be taken care of.
