I repaired the solid-state disk using Apple’s Disk Utility. I cleared my caches. I blamed my browser and switched to another one. (At various points, I’ve used Safari, Chrome, and, most recently, Firefox as my primary browser.) Some of these tactics seemed to help -- emphasis on “seemed” -- but they didn’t resolve the situation permanently.
When the Mac was in one of its moods, it was no fun at all. That’s one reason why I’ve found myself using my iPad 2 (equipped with a Zagg keyboard ) more often than the Air over the past three months. But I never stopped wanting the Mac to work better.
Then it struck me. The iPad, unlike any Mac or Windows PC I’ve ever used, is pretty much bulletproof. It doesn’t get bogged down. It has no equivalent of the spinning beach ball. Even its worst technical problems can almost always be fixed by powering it down.

I have a apple laptop. and
everytime i try to go on
youtube the internet quits. a
box pops up and says safari has unexpectedly quit.(its the laptop not the internet)
does anyone know what the problem is?
I go over some issues that the latest laptops from Apple have experienced and why you shouldn't worry.

The Health Problems With Apple's iPad and Other Tablet Computers
Desktop monitors and laptops can also cause problems for their users when placed too low, forcing their user to hunch over to see the screen. This places a strain on the neck muscles and can lead to pain and discomfort.

An 'Entertainment Device' Is Expected From Google
Apple, which originally produced only hardware, now sells content. Google still makes the vast majority of its money from Internet search. But as computing detaches from the desktop and laptop, the company cannot afford to be marginalized.

After reading around, I have heard of some problems with Mac OS X + SSDs slowing down after a while because of no TRIM support or whatever (dont know much about it.) But basically the problem is supposed to be that deleted files dont get emptied on the SSD, and it takes time to rewrite, or something, idk. Anyways, here are my questions about the MBP 13 w/SSD:
1.) How do I take care of the SSD in my MBP? (What steps, if any, do I need to take to make sure the SSD runs fast, even later on in its life? Does this involve somehow erasing or emptying everything on it? How often should I do this? Are there risks of breaking the SSD? Can someone who is capable with computers, but not a genius do it? etc.) 4.) How are the Apple SSDs compared to an SSD that I order and install myself? (Im not much of a DIYer, but if Apple is giving out stinky SSDs… you know, I dont want to be ripped off. Im sure Im already paying more than its worth ordering from Apple. Are they good SSDs? I dont care about minor differences; is the difference between them and an even higher end one that noticeable? Are the Apple SSDs gonna give the 15-18 second boot times and fast App launches like you see in all those youtube videos?) 8.) I am in the market for a laptop that will last ~5+ years. Will the MBP 13 256SSD do the job? (I am aware that new ones are coming out fairly soon. While I could wait a little, I do need one sooner rather than later, and I think this version is plenty powerful for what I will use it for: web+video playing+music listening and casual production+writing+light gaming.) What is the projected overall maintenance like for a Macbook Pro in order to get it to last 5+ years? How often am I going to have to replace parts?
