HP, Acer, Asus Rank Among Top-3 NB PC Brands in Europe in Q3

Taipei, Nov. 25, 2011 (CENS)--The latest market survey issued by the British researcher Gartner Inc. shows that HP, Acer and Asus ranked as the top-three notebook PC brands by shipment in Europe in the third quarter, with margins of difference between each being narrow.

The report indicates that HP shipped 2.681 million notebook PCs as the top brand in the market in the quarter, but leading only by 19,000 over the 2.662 million posted by the runner-up Acer, with Asus trailing in third by a margin of only 250,000 units.

Considering that HP and Acer are impacted by sluggish sales after dealing with either business or personnel reorganizations, with Asus and Lenovo having effectively raised sales considerably for a variety of reasons, Gartner says the rankings will likely be

I am planning to buy a my first laptop and I am confused if I'll go for acer 4736 or msi ex401.What i am concerned for msi is the speed of ram which is 667mhz versus 800mhz for acer.would it make any difference?

i have the acer 4736 and it sucks. buy the MSI.
