I have an Acer Aspire 17" laptop and it is in sleep mode and I can't wake it up.?

I have unplugged it from AC and from the battery. It will come up when you press the arcade button and when you push the on button but it won't activate the screen or keyboard. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
