This laptop is powered by the AMD Athlon II p340 CPU.  This is a 64-bit, dual-core processor running at 2.2GHz.  This CPU has 1MB of L2 cache and uses only 25W. It’s part of AMD Vision Technology line up. This laptop comes with 3GB DDR3 memory and can be expanded to a maximum of 8GB.

The display is a 14.0” diagonal High-Definition HP BrightView LED display with a resolution of 1366×768.  That gives it an aspect ratio of 16:9 and native support for 720p HD content.  The screen is driven by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card. This has 256MB of dedicated memory and can support up to 1789MB of dynamically allocated shared graphics memory.  Shared memory slows your system down during graphically intensive processes like games.

For storage this system has a 320GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive running at 5400RPM.  This is a slow, midsize drive, but still big enough to be useful. The optical drive is a SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support.  The 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader for Secure Digital cards, MultiMedia cards, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, or xD Picture cards offers a bit of extra storage oomph if needed.
